Traditions

Liked this one alot from last week at the Cathedral...Had to wait for a while to take this because it seemed to be very popular for the people there who kept going up to it for a moment of silence. (Felt kinda stupid waiting and setting up a tripod, but not one dirty look other than the worker who made me go get a visitor pass)
Wed didnt post for some reason, here it is

Yes again, I just love this building

The art and sculptures of this Cathedral really make me wonder if we could build this again in modern time. I just don't know if the skill and craftsmanship that went into this is still around? I know we probably could, but just wonder where the artists would come from that could do this at this scale?

At Peace

Nothing technically special about this pic, I just loved this statue and the aura in there when I took this. 80% of the people worshiping, and 20% looking and taking pictures, yet nobody seemed bothered by the people there taking pictures(and there were a lot) which definitely surprised me. Everyone just seemed really easy going...

Inspiration...
A few different versions (last one is a 5 shot HDR,via photomatix)
I have had my camera in the car for the last week waiting for something Grab my attention. Well today I was driving past the Cathedral of St. Paul when I pulled over and took some pictures. Was not what I expected, people in there worshiping from ALL walks of life. I just can not imagine how that building was built (even with modern equipment, let alone with technology from the early 1900's) and the interior finished like it is, really is amazing. more to come....
