Monday 7-26_Lake Geneva flower

Because I have been so lazy and sometimes this is feeling more like work than fun, this is an old pic of a flower from lake Geneva. This caught my eye on a walk around the lake on a very hot day. Seems like this was growing out of the shadows to the sun from the rest of the flowers behind the fence. Excited to get out tommorow and shoot something new....I dont really care how they turn out, just something different.

Sunday 7-25_Christmas colors in July

I dont know, just liked the contrast...

Sat 7-24_Lines for miles

This is a pic from a while back of the power lines that run from Eagan to Bloomington across the Mn. River. Again I wonder how these were hung, (helicopters?)

Friday 7-23_Old Style

With all of the Huge metal posts that you see everywhere for the electrical lines, this one was enormous and caught my eye being that it is wood. Must have come from quite a tree.

Constant Lighting

Took these from the Blaine airport the night of the storm. Camera on my car, 20 second exposure and hope for the best. These represent 3 keepers out of the 54 I shot. (lighting is tough to catch!)

Sunset like no other!!!!! (NO Edits done to these at all)

First Pic(look at the clouds in all of pics, same clouds literally 2-3 minutes of Red from start to finish...
Going, Going,

Gone...
So Saturday night we had severe weather, tornado sirens and the whole bit. WCCO said tornado touch downs and everything was headed straight for our house off of Hanson and 242...
Kids, Manda and I went to the basement. At 9pm the warning ended and we went up stairs to see a little blue peaking through the storms clouds that were remaining. About 5 minutes later I looked out of the window again and the sky was SOOOOOO RED, never seen anything like it. It took me about 2 minutes to get me camera from my car and snap the first pic...and the Red sky had already diminished ALOT by the time I snapped my first pic.
Went back and grabbed my tripod set it up and snapped the rest(within 60 seconds)from pic 2-5)
I just cannot believe how red it was, and how fast it left. Again no edits at all on any of these pics. I wish I would have got a shot when I first looked out the window. It was like pic #1 double the red, maybe triple the red.

Old street light

Sat 7-17_ An old one...

This is one of the many very old houses that surround Lake Geneva. I loved learning the history of these old houses(thanks to lynn for filling me in a little on the history, when she wasnt helping out with Jack and Claire)

Friday 7-9 Vacation almost done...

We left Lake Geneva today (Friday), and had such a good time. Sad to see it go so quick, we both have the rest of the weekend off from work however. These flowers were again from one of the gardens outside of our hotel.

Thur. 7-8_No Rain Today

We were a little nervous for our vacation with forecasts showing rain every day we were there. We ended up only getting 1 day with a quick storm, and lucked out with pretty nice weather all around.

Wed 7-7_Loving Jack...

Jack is getting to the age where I believe he is making memories that he will be able to remember throughout the rest of his life. So it was so great to spend 10 days with him to make so of his future memories.

Tuesday 7_6 Wisconsin Flowers

These were some of the many flowers that were right outside of our hotel in Lake Geneva. Pretty windy day for shooting pictures of flowers, but turned out ok.

Monday_7-5_Arrive at Grand Geneva

So we went to Grand Geneva, as I opened our hotel room and walked to the patio, this is what we saw. Was so excited to play golf, we played the next day and I admit it, shot a 103, but was great.

Golf Magazine has rated this course silver medalist, Golf Digest States in top 10, anyways the best course I have ever played.

more to come...
