Could it have been a nicer day?

Claire has taken in an interest in listening to the birds outside and gets so excited. So I took her outside just before bed, and we laid on our backs in the grass and looked into the sky waiting for the birds to fly over, and when ever they did she FREAKED(muttering birds, birds) I will definitely remember that for as long as I live. This pic just reminds me of how nice today was, would take this weather 365

Overlook in ST Anthony

No edits at all,
All of the exposure and fill light I could get(LOOK AT THE GRASS)

A quick edit with way to much sharpness, none the less 30sec edit

This isn't a post for just the picture, the RAW file still amazes me in how much more information the camera is capable of seeing. Again these are night pics.

DownTown (GhostTown)

Last night, early morning was really the first time I have ever went downtown to to take some pics, and couldn't believe how empty it was. For someone that works down there daily when it is so packed with people, this would have been something to see. Here are a few of the empty train running by.

Downtown, Zooming out in middle of 12sec exposure. Was kinda cool to be downtown late at night with so few other people.

A New Day

I took this picture from a customers backyard today...Originally I Sold a large job about 2 years ago to an elderly guy that was the definition of a grumpy old man, I mean this guy was mean. However, he called me back a month later to update another large portion of his house and this time talked my hear off for over an hour. He talked alot about the past and his wife who had passed in the 80's and how the times had changed. He told me how he loved to just sit in his backyard and watch the creek. I was out out there a 3rd time about a year ago, ended up being one of the most memorable customers that I can recall. Well I went out there today and as soon as I pulled up, I remembered the house, but his name wasn't on the lead? I knew right away before I got out of the car that he was gone. I ended up helping his children do the 2 remaining foyers that we hadn't yet done, so that they could put the house on the market. Anyways here is his backyard, which happens not to be out in the middle of the country, but right off of 169 and Dayton road, right in the city. Really reminded me alot of Jack Tinsen (after he opened up to me)

Rainy Thursday...(I dont mind)

Although it makes for difficult conditions to try and get out with the camera not getting soaked, hence the past posts. But here is one from the back yard.

No playing in our sandbox any time soon...

Wed Post...

Amanda took this one, last weekend. Getting a nice (not crazy) smile out of Jack is a Rare deal//

Tuesday Post

Walk in the woods, takes about a half an hour and is the highlight of the day

Sunday(MothersDay)...

What a difference 24 hours can make, today was a beautiful day and was nice to have people over. I took this shot of a BRIGHT Back lit leaf with the dark forest as a back drop. Only a few rays of sunlight were making it through, but this leaf had an unobstructed ray of light falling right on it, or through it. Exposed for the highlight, and the rest fell off

Uprooted, Chopped down, and cut to pieces

Took this pic on Saturday afternoon, just one of those days that would be better forgotten about.
This just reminded me of a Counting Crows song, and the waste that nothing has been done with this tree that sits on the side of Main Street just east of Hanson. Seems to have been destroyed for no good reason...IKHYF

Another Cloudy Day

The last few days of cool weather have created some of the coolest looking clouds that I can remember. These photos have a little extra sharpening and contrast, not a whole lot of editing...

Photography has definately made me notice things that in the past I would not have looked as hard at.
